What's a good Kindle alternative?

I’ve been using both Kindle and iPad Mini for a while, and I prefer the latter when it comes to reading ebooks. Lets me use multiple reading apps and lets me do a lot of other tasks, compared to Kindle that’s great only for reading.

I use the iPad in dark mode, and dim the lights = so no eye strain, a feature that Kindle is known for. Also, if you set ‘Focus’ mode = no distractions.

What are your thoughts?

If there are Kindle readers here - why do you prefer Kindle over other tablets?
